MORLEY — Holton’s baseball team lost both ends of a non-conference doubleheader with Morley-Stanwood on the road Thursday, 4-2 and 6-3.

Steven Kersting threw the first 4 1/3 innings of the opener for the Panthers, giving up one earned run while striking out three. Austin Fowler pitched the last 1 1/3 innings and was touched for two runs and rang up four strike outs.

In the second game, Jason Hibbs did not get out of the first inning, allowing five earned runs. Kevin Erickson came out of the bullpen and finished the game, giving up an earned run and striking out three in six innings.

Kersting collected a run batted in without a hit, as did Brodrick Fialek and Hibbs. Fowler ripped out a double. Getting single hits as well were Carter Brant, Chase Albright and Rice Robins.
