North Muskegon gets by Grand Haven and ties with Elk Rapids in Saturday tennis action

HOLLAND –The #4 ranked Division 4 North Muskegon girls tennis team finished 1-0-1 in the Grand Haven Invitational at Hope College on Saturday.

The Norse tied with #8 Elk Rapids by a score of 4-4 and got by Grand Haven by a score of 5-3.

The rest of the event was cut short due to rain.

Winning matches for the Norse against Elk Rapids were Marilyn Gaston and Natalie Lorenz at No. 1 doubles, Ella Tarrant and Anna Toebe at No. 2 doubles and August Carafelle and Allie Sanockie at No. 3 doubles.

Against Grand Haven, Noa Bowen took No. 1 singles, Gabby Gaston finished at No. 2 singles, Fia Lindsay at No. 3 singles and Francine Vinson at No. 4 singles. The duo of Ella Tarrant and Anna Toebe took No. 2 doubles.

North Muskegon (9-0-2) will play in a double dual against Fruitport and Spring Lake on Tuesday.
