Western Michigan Christian shuts out Muskegon Catholic Central 1-0 in soccer action

MUSKEGON – The Western Michigan Christian girls soccer team edged out Muskegon Catholic Central by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday evening in Lakes 8 Activities Conference action.

Maria Eenigenburg followed up on a ball that Brooklyn Watts sent off the crossbar to score the Warriors’ lone goal.

Goalkeeper Libby Mast had nine saves on the night.

Western Michigan Christian (6-5-4, 5-0-2) will travel to Grand Rapids to take on Covenant Christian on Friday.

Muskegon Catholic Central (4-7-2, 1-4-1) is set to host Manistee for more league play on Monday.
