SCOTTVILLE--The Ludington Orioles boys and girls teams swept the Ludington Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning in a meet at West Shore Community College.

In the boys’ division, Ludington finished with 40 while Frankfort finished in the runner-up position with 49. They were followed by White Cloud (78), Manistee (80) and Pentwater (94).

Frankfort senior Skylar Werden took top individual honors with a time of 17:41.20. Ludington junior Jose Flores finished in second place at 17:53.30 while Bear Lake-Onekama sophomore Mason Sinke finished in third place with a time of 18:18.30.

Other top ten individual finishers included: Abe VanDuinen (Pentwater), Chase Lowery (Fremont), Coleson Cruzan (White Cloud), Kaden Forward (Bear Lake-Onekama), Trey Keson (Ludington), Cole Lowery (Fremont) and David Reisterer (Ludington).

In the girls’ division, Ludington finished with a score of 23. They were followed by the Fremont Packers with 63 points and the Manistee Chippewas with 68.

Other team scores included: Frankfort (84), Pentwater (144), White Cloud (169) and Orchard View (181).

Ludington sophomore Summer Brower took top individual honors with a time of 20:37.60. Fremont freshman Linnea Paige finished in second place with a time of 20:55.20 and Manistee junior Cecilia Postma finished third with a time of 21:06.10.

Other top ten finishers included: Christina Theis (Ludington), Nadia Grierson (Ludington), Olivia Anderson (Ludington), MacKenzie Keillor (Ludington), Anna VanDuinen (Pentwater), Anna Wolfe (Frankfort) and Georgia Haag (Manistee).
