EAST LANSING–The Ludington Orioles girls golf team finished in ninth place in the Division 3 girls’ state finals over the weekend.

The meet was played at Forest Akers East in East Lansing on the campus of Michigan State University.

Ludington ended up with a ninth place finish out of 18 teams that qualified for the finals.

In opening round action on Friday, the Orioles shot a round of 369. They followed that up with a 364 on Saturday for a two-day total score of 733.

Junior Emma McKinley paced the Orioles with 160, which was good enough for a ninth-place finish.

Other Ludington scores included senior Sophia Sarto, who wrapped up her Ludington career shooting 172. Junior Reya Dila had 200. Following her was junior Julia Reed, who shot 204 and junior Sam Hanson finished with a 205.
