Cook scores 18 points to lead Mona Shores to nonleague victory over Allendale

NORTON SHORES–The Mona Shores Sailors opened the girls’ basketball season in impressive fashion on Tuesday night with a 43-25 nonleague victory over the Allendale Falcons.

The Sailors raced to a 24-9 lead at the half and cruised to the season-opening victory.

Khaleeya Cook led the Sailors with 18 points. Katie Phillips added 14 and Ali Phillips had five.
