MUSKEGON –The Oakridge girls basketball team collected their first WMC-Lakes victory over Fremont on Tuesday evening.

The Eagles topped the Packers, 43-29.

The Eagles owned a slim three-point advantage at the half, 19-16. After a sluggish third quarter that saw few points, the Eagles still maintained the lead, 24-18.

Oakridge found a spark in the fourth quarter and used some crucial baskets in transition and timely 3-pointers to solidify the win.

Anna Lundquist led Oakridge with a double-double of 14 points, 14 rebounds, five steals and five blocks. Destyni Lane added 13 points, eight steals, four rebounds and three assists while Mallori Whipple had seven points, five steals and three assists.

Olivia Hansen scored six points for the Packers and Khaila Noordyk grabbed 10 rebounds.

Oakridge (2-2, 1-2) will square off at rival Orchard View on Friday for more league action.

Fremont (1-4, 0-2) will also see more conference play on Friday. The Packers are set to face Montague.
