MUSKEGON — The host Muskegon Community College women had an offensive explosion on Saturday in a 106-38 victory over Kirtland College.

MCC came out focused after a tough loss on Wednesday night. The Jayhawks led 29-8 after the first quarter and 51-20 at the half.

After a short lapse to the start the third quarter, the Jayhawks took off again and led 75-30 after three quarters.

“It was a great all-around game today,” said MCC coach Jason Cooper. “Our defense generated a lot of our offense. The shooting of our guards, especially Calla Miller, was tremendous.”

Miller led MCC with 31 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and five assists. Kendall Zoulek had 14 points and eight rebounds. Karleigh Jeffries had 12 points and four rebounds. Kayla Fisk had 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Emmerson Goodin was the fifth Jayhawk in double figures with 10 points. She also had eight rebounds.

Haley Zerlaut scored nine points and dished out five assists. Ally Seiber had seven points and seven rebounds.

The Jayhawks hosts Delta at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bartels-Rode Gymnasium.
