Big Rapids dominates first CSAA track meet; White Cloud has solid day as well

NEWAYGO–Newaygo hosted the first Central State Activities Association track and field meet of the season on Tuesday afternoon.

The field consisted of Big Rapids, Grant, Newaygo and White Cloud. Big Rapids’ boys and girls won all their matchups while White Cloud’s boys and girls each won two of three.

In the boys’ division, Big Rapids held the upper hand over Grant 107-16, over Newaygo 88-40 and over White Cloud 66-62. White Cloud got by Newaygo 92-36 and Grant 111-16. Newaygo ran past Grant 97-29.

In the girls’ division, Big Rapids came out on top over Grant 85-20, over Newaygo 67-54 and over White Cloud 70-57. White Cloud got past Newaygo 63-61 and Grant 100-22. Newaygo scored a win over Grant 78-31.
