NEWAYGO–The Grant Tigers used hot hitting in both games on Friday and swept the Newaygo Lions in a Central State Activities Association softball doubleheader.
 
In the opener Grant pounded out 15 hits en route to a 12-10 win. The Tigers won the second game, 10-8.
 
In the first game, Reese Gragg led the Grant hitting with a home run, double, single and three RBI. Jayci Hance was 3-for-4, scored two runs and knocked in one. Gracen Scott was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
 
Emma Bliss was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts.
 
In the nightcap, the Tigers’ collected 10 hits.
 
Gragg once again led the hitting attach as she went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.  Emma Bliss was 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs. Jayci Hance added a double. 
 
Bliss was the winning pitcher.
