Spring Lake blanks Fruitport in OK-Blue soccer match

SPRING LAKE –The Spring Lake girls soccer team put on a scoring clinic against rival Fruitport on Monday evening.

The Lakers captured the OK Conference-Blue victory, 8-0.

Ada Halvorsen, Kyle Shelton and Ella Andree led the Lakers with two goals apiece. Clara Howe and Phoebe Ryan each chipped in a single tally.

Goalkeeper Jessica Stewart posted the shutout. 

Spring Lake (4-0-2, 2-0-2) will host conference foe Hamilton on Wednesday.

Fruitport (4-3, 2-2) hosts Grand Rapids West Catholic on Wednesday in a conference match.
