HOLTON — Western Michigan Christian’s baseball team swept a non-league doubleheader from the host Holton Red Devils on Thursday, 7-2 and 16-1.
 
In the opener, Cody Folkema got the Warriors off and running with a two-out, two-run double in the opening inning. Nate Clausing finished with three hits, three runs and one RBI. Alex Wagenmaker had three RBI and was the winning pitcher. Max Miller came on and pitched in relief and struck out five.
 
The Warrior offense came alive to the tune of 13 runs in the first inning of the second game. Jack Sipe earned his first-ever varsity victory on the mound.
 
Caleb McKay had two hits and scored three runs. Sam Sipe had two hits, two RBI and scored two runs. Nate Clausing had two RBI and Will Liggett knocked in a pair of runs as did Wagenmaker. Quint Menefee had three RBI.
