Madison Balon fired a no-hitter on Thursday and North Muskegon went on to sweep Montague in a softball twinbill.
The Norse won the opener, 3-0, and the nightcap, 16-6.
In the opener, Balon was masterful in leading the Norse to the victory. Baila Lang had two hits to lead the NM offense.
In the second game, North Muskegon’s Audrey Brown had two hits and knocked in four runs to lead the way. She doubled in the fourth inning and belted a home run in the sixth as NM plated seven runs in the seventh. Brown, Mila Vantol and Abby Bamberg all drove in runs in that pivotal inning.
Lang finished with three hits.
Chloe Boutell and Alissa Wynn each had two hits for Montague.
