RAVENNA – The Fremont girls soccer team got by Ravenna, 2-1, its final West Michigan Conference match of the regular season on Friday.

The Packers played from behind until late in the second half, but came back to top the Bulldogs, 2-1.

The action was scoreless at halftime then Ravenna’s Taryn Marsman put the Bulldogs up 1-0 seven minutes into the second half.

It took the Packers almost 20 minutes, but Mia Clemence managed to tie the game off an assist by Maddie Mater.

Clemence capitalized on a free kick from 35 yards out with 40 seconds left to put the Packers ahead.

Hallie Snyder was in net for the Packers. Monroe Wilde made 15 saves for the Bulldogs.

Fremont (13-4-1, 8-2) finished in second place in league play. The Packers host Tri County on Monday to close the regular season.

Ravenna (3-10-3, 0-8-2) will travel to Potters House on Monday.
