NORTON SHORES – The Mona Shores boys lacrosse team had a dominating Senior Night on Friday.
The Sailors took down Jenison, 12-2.
“The game started and finished with all the seniors on the field and we were able to use all of them through the whole game,” said Coach Murle Greer. “Most of these seniors have been on varsity for 3 years now and are an integral part of the growth and success of this program in a brief time.”
This is Mona Shores’ largest senior class in the program’s history with 12 seniors.
Senior Luke Beilhartz and JJ Boos led the way with three goals apiece. Senior Brayton Conrad added a single score while senior Jesse Love chipped in four forced turnovers and four ground balls.
Senior goalkeeper Parker Hayward stopped 10 shots in the shutout.
“We will miss our seniors dearly and are grateful for what they have given this program, but we are excited about the future and have no intention of going backward,” said Greer.
Mona Shores (14-1, 9-0) will be at home on Tuesday to host Holland Christian.
