NORTON SHORES – The Mona Shores girls soccer team breezed through the opening round of the OK-Green tournament on Tuesday evening. The Sailors took down Muskegon, 12-0, in a game that ended at halftime due to the mercy rule.

Shay Norden and Ali Trautner led Shores with three goals apiece while Molly Wolf added two.

Kelly Benedict, Mikayla Benedict, Maya Cooper and Ella Kinney each chipped in a goal.

Mona Shores (10-4-1, 7-0-1) will take on the winner of Zeeland West vs. Grand Rapids Union on Thursday at home.
