The Reeths-Puffer Rockets split a non-league softball doubleheader on Thursday. Lowell won the opener, 11-8, and the Rockets won the nightcap, 11-8, in come-from-behind fashion.

In the opener, the Rockets had 11 hits, led by Lainey McDaniel with three singles. Abbie Critchett added a double and a single while Mady Snyder and Megan Barnes each had two singles.

Snyder pitched five innings and recorded three strikeouts. McDaniel had three strikeouts in two innings of work.

The Rocket had nine hits in their Game 2 victory. Reeths-Puffer fell behind 8-1 by the top of the fourth inning. The Rockets scored three runs in the fourth, one in a fifth and six more in the sixth to take the lead.

Kaylee Jones and Barnes each had a double and a single. Snyder and Critchett each added a double.

Kyleigh Bilke was the winning pitcher for Reeths-Puffer.
