MUSKEGON — The Western Michigan Christian Warrior baseball dug a deep hole on Wednesday in non-league baseball action against Covenant Christian.

The Warriors fell behind 10-1 early on and fought back, but in the end, dropped an 11-7 decision the Chargers.

Shortstop Quint Menefee and Alex Wagenmaker each had two hits for WMC. Menefee also had three RBI and played solid defense. Wagenmaker had a double among his two hits.

Wagenmaker started on the mound for WMC and pitched 2 2/3 innings. He was followed by Max Miller who worked 4 1/3 innings in relief and posted four strikeouts.

 The Warriors have a doubleheader against Holland Christian on Friday.
