SPRING LAKE–The Oakridge girls softball season came to an end on Saturday morning as the Eagles dropped a 5-4 decision to Coopersville.

The Division 2 regional semifinal game was played at Spring Lake.

With three outs remaining, Oakridge led 4-1, but then the Coopersville bats came alive. Doubles by Hunter Near and Paige Arthur highlighted a seventh inning that ended with a walk-off victory for the Broncos.

Ahria Doornbos had four hits and three RBI for Oakridge. Andrea Romero-Serrano had a double and a single.

Hudsonville Unity Christian cruised past Coopersville in the regional final 9-1 to advance to the quarterfinals.

Oakridge finished the season with a 25-6 overall record, 10-0 in the West Michigan Conference – Lakes.
