Fruitport wins quad volleyball match against Ravenna, Reeths-Puffer

MUSKEGON –The Fruitport volleyball team went undefeated in a tri-match at Reeths-Puffer on Tuesday.

The Trojans won some close sets with victories over Reeths-Puffer (25-17, 25-23) and Ravenna (25-17, 25-12).

Ellie Stroup and Izzy Hanson-Wilber contributed offensively with eight kills and seven kills, respectively. Gracelynn Olson had 42 assists with 10 digs and Sadie Haase had three aces and two blocks. Emma Fecher added four aces and Tara Sweet made seven digs with two aces.

The Rockets dropped both matches with losses to Fruitport and Ravenna (23-25, 25-12, 7-15).

Mady Snyder led the Rockets with 17 kills, 10 digs and an ace, Megan Barnes chipped in 27 digs while Grace Dark had 17 digs and three aces.

Fruitport (4-5) will be at home on Thursday, Sept. 7 for a quad match.

Reeths-Puffer (2-6-1) will travel to Mona Shores on Thursday, Sept. 7.

Ravenna will visit Holton on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
