MONTAGUE –The Western Michigan Christian volleyball team went a perfect 3-0 in a quad match on Monday.

The Warriors took down host Montague (22-25, 25-16, 25-17), Zeeland East (30-28, 25-18, 19-25) and Spring Lake (25-23, 18-25, 27-25).

Abby Leffring had 35 kills and 12 blocks while Ashley Folkema had 24 kills and 11 blocks. Hannah Heiss added 24 kills, nine aces and eight blocks and Bri Warners contributed 93 assists with four aces.

Also, Nora Anderson chipped in 10 kills and eight aces.

Spring Lake wrapped up the day with a record of 1-2.

The Lakers defeated Montague, but fell to Zeeland East (25-15, 20-25, 19-25) and WMC.

Kallie Lewkowski led the Lakers with 29 kills, 26 digs and six aces. Ella Gapczynski had 10 kills with six blocks and Kara Constantine made 34 assists and 25 digs. Katherine Penning contributed six blocks and four aces.

Montague finished winless against Zeeland East (22-25, 16-25, 10-15), Spring Lake and WMC.

Jacy Arrigotti accumulated 16 digs, 12 kills and three aces while Britta Johnson had 28 digs, eight kills, five aces and three blocks. Jaelyn Sundberg had 58 assists, 26 digs and three kills. Alissa Wynn had 55 digs with nine assists and Maizie Collins had 12 kills and four aces.

WMC will visit North Muskegon on Thursday.

Spring Lake (6-8-1) will compete in a double dual at Grand Rapids West Catholic on Thursday, Sept. 7.

Montague (1-5-2) will be back at home on Friday to host Ludington.
