Fruitport Calvary Christian upends Muskegon Catholic in Alliance League volleyball

FRUITPORT – The Fruitport Calvary Christian volleyball team fought off a pesky Muskegon Catholic Central squad on Tuesday.

The Eagles earned the Alliance League victory in four sets, 25-22, 21-25, 25-15 and 25-10.

Ella Dykman led the way with 14 kills, six digs, five aces and a block. Marissa Tyler had 31 assists, 10 digs, four aces and a pair of kills.

Sarah Deuby contributed eight kills and seven digs while Brooke Trumbull added eight digs, two kills and an ace.

Calvary Christian (10-6, 2-1) will host Tri-Unity Christian for conference play on Thursday.

Muskegon Catholic will be at home on Thursday against Wellspring Prep.
