GRAND HAVEN – It was a special night for Grand Haven volleyball on Thursday night.

For starters, the Bucs honored Kabel Sheehan, who passed away in April from brain cancer. She coached volleyball in the Grand Haven program.

On the court, the Bucs defeated Caledonia in a five-set match, 25-16, 19-25, 26-24, 22-25 and 15-8. The OK-Red matchup was played on Grand Haven’s home court.

Mallory Woiteshek had 14 kills, six digs and three aces while Melina Teunis chipped in eight kills and seven blocks. Taylor Smaka added 25 digs. 

Grand Haven (18-10, 1-1) is set to host Lake Orion, Marion and Lowell on Saturday.
