MUSKEGON – No matter who takes the field opposite Oakridge’s boys soccer team, the goal is to stop scoring machine Arturo Romero-Serrano. Hart was unsuccessful in that regard as the Pirates fell 4-2 to the Eagles on Monday.

Romero-Serrano netted two goals in the first half to kick off his big night. Those two scores were enough to outpace Hart in the first half as the Pirates started slow and trailed heading into halftime.

Romero-Serrano completed his hat trick two minutes into the second period. Three minutes later, the Eagles finished their scoring with a goal from Federico Pucciarelli to go up 4-0.

Hart got going with 25 minutes remaining in the contest when Tyler Larios-Mendez found Adrian Belmares, allowing him to get behind the defense and draw a foul. Adan Cruz stepped up for the free kick and found a spot inside the near post to put the Pirates on the board.

The Pirates finished their night when Chase Lorenz found Belmares, who capped off the night with a goal to bring the final score to 4-2.

Oakridge had Isaac Willard in the net and he ended his night with five saves. Dallas Meyers, Connor Arevalo and Tyler Lewis all scored assists for the Eagles.

The Eagles improved to 7-4-1 overall on the year and now have a 4-1-1 standing in the WMC. Oakridge will travel to Ludington on Wednesday for a matchup between two of the top teams in the conference.

Hart (3-7) remains winless in the WMC at 0-5. The Pirates will hope that changes on Wednesday when they host Fremont.
