GRAND RAPIDS – The Greater Muskegon co-op swimming team lost to Grand Rapids Catholic Central on Tuesday, 111-74.

Eva Stout earned a first-place finish in the 100 fly (1:08.34) and second place in the 200 free (2:23.42) while Susie VanBaale came in first in the 100 breast (1:16.99) and second in the 200IM (2:47.18).

Sydney Systema finished second in the 50 free (27.28) and 100 free (1:01.41). Hollen Emmick was second in diving with a 159.10.

Marilyn Gaston swam to a second-place finish in the 100 fly (1:13.73) and Millie Curow was second in the 500 free (6:37.23). Sophia Zziwambazza was second in the 100 back (1:18.52).

The 200-medley relay team of Sytsema, VanBaale, Stout and Gaston earned a second-place spot with a season-best time of 2:04.41. Gaston, Zziwambazza, Maria Eenigenburg and Sytsema posted a second-place finish in the 200-free relay (1:55.89). Curow, Stout, VanBaale and Eenigenburg were runner-up in the 400 free relay (4:33.50).

The Turtles (2-8, 0-3) will take a trip to Zeeland on Tuesday.
