Fruitport Calvary Christian takes sixth place at Volley Against Violence meet

HESPERIA – The Fruitport Calvary Christian volleyball team finished in sixth place in the Volley Against Violence on Saturday.

The Eagles were 0-1-2 in pool play with a loss against White Cloud (10-25, 21-25) and draws against host Hesperia (25-14, 14-25) and Onekama (25-20, 17-25).

Ella Dykman had 21 kills, 11 digs, five blocks and three aces, while Milla Dykstra added 10 aces, seven kills and seven digs. Marissa Tyler chipped in 53 assists, 17 digs and three aces. Sarah Deuby had 19 digs, 13 kills and a pair of aces.

Fruitport Calvary Christian (11-10-2, 3-3) will host Godfrey Lee for Alliance League play on Tuesday.

Hesperia will be at home against Mason County Central on Tuesday.

White Cloud will hit the road on Tuesday to face Newaygo.

Pentwater will play host to Manistee Catholic Central on Tuesday.
