BIG RAPIDS – The Muskegon Catholic Central volleyball team staked their claim as champions of the Crossroads Cougars vs. Cancer tournament on Saturday.

The Crusaders made a clean sweep with wins against Baldwin (25-13, 14-25, 25-17, 25-20), Crossroads Academy (17-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-12) and a pesky Libertas Christian (13-25, 25-21, 25-20, 27-29, 15-10).

Emily Muskovin had 64 assists, 15 digs and 10 aces, while Molly Caughey threw in 23 kills and four blocks. Catherine Cone added nine aces. Lindsay Ladd and Claire Carlton chipped in 16 kills apiece. Daeja Hill and Aubrey Shepherd each contributed 24 digs.

Muskegon Catholic Central (8-10, 2-4) will be at home on Tuesday against Potter’s House.
