The Grand Haven volleyball team cruised to a three-set sweep over O-K Red rival East Kentwood on Thursday night.
The Bucs won by service scores of 25-19, 25-16 and 25-12.
Mallory Woiteshek led Grand Haven with 15 kills, while Eden Smith had eight and Izzy Whittaker added seven. Sara Weber had 16 assists and Leah Montgomery had 14.
The Bucs were paced on the defensive side by Taylor Smaka with 14 digs, while both Whittaker and Nadia Prieditis each had five.
“A lot of kids gained experience tonight and we are getting a little bit better,” said Grand Haven coach Aaron Smaka. “We keep improving and are looking forward to the last month of the season.”
Grand Haven will travel to Grandville for another conference matchup next week.
