Kent City closing in on league volleyball title after victory over Grant

GRANT – The Kent City volleyball team clinched a share of the CSAA Conference title with a four-set victory over Grant on Thursday.

The Eagles won, 31-29, 25-9, 20-25 and 25-20.

Maddie Geers led the way with 25 digs, 23 kills, three aces and two blocks, while Cailynn Hartzell had 36 assists and three aces. Kaden Perkins contributed 22 digs and eight kills.

Kent City (22-8-1, 9-1) will be at home against Big Rapids on Saturday.

Grant is set to travel to Potter’s House on Tuesday.
