BUCKLEY – Mason County Eastern had a strong show in both the boys and girls’ cross country regionals at Buckley.
 
The boys won the regional title and the girls finished second. That means both teams will be running in the Division 4 state finals next weekend at Michigan International Speedway.
 
The boys finished with 60 points, followed by Maple City Glen Lake with 79 and Leland with 118. Pentwater came in fifth with 144.
 
For the girls, the Cardinals finished with 50 points, six behind regional champion Buckley. Grand Traverse Academy finished third with 67 points. Pentwater finished seventh.
