Mason County Eastern takes second place at Evart Invitational

The Mason County Eastern boy’s cross country team placed second in the Evart Invitational on Saturday.

The Cardinals totaled 50 points in the small-school division, trailing champion North Trails’ 40 points.

MCE junior Nate Wing placed second overall in both the Big and Small School divisions, crossing the finish line with a time of 18:01.05.

Eli Shoup also led the Cardinals with a tenth place finish, completing his run with a time of 18:54.31.

In the girls Small School Division, MCE (88) finished fifth behind first-place Fowler (49).

Top runners the Cardinals girls were Lucy Shoup (6th), Olivia Wing (13th), Elizabeth Logan (29th), Amelia Dunham (50th), and Abigail Logan (83rd).
