Spring Lake takes down Fruitport in four volleyball sets

FRUITPORT – The Spring Lake volleyball team came out victorious in a battle with rival Fruitport on Tuesday evening.

The Lakers topped the Trojans in four sets, 27-25, 14-25, 23-25 and 21-25.

For Spring Lake, Brooke Bolthouse had 11 kills, while Kalli Lewkowski had 23 digs, nine kills and four blocks. Kara Constantine added 29 digs and 13 assists.

The Trojans’ Sadie Haase made 13 kills and Gracelynn Olson chipped in 30 assists, 17 digs and eight kills. Ashton Olson and Izzy Hansen-Wilbur each had seven kills. Lauren Riedel scored three aces for the Trojans. 

Spring Lake (18-18-3) will visit Hamilton on Thursday.

Fruitport is set to travel to Grand Rapids West Catholic on Thursday.
