The Spring Lake volleyball team opened Division 2 district play by defeating 10th ranked Holland Christian in three straight sets.
The Lakers were led by Kalli Lewkowski with 13 kills while Brooke Bolthouse and Ella Gapczynski each had seven. Kara Constantine chipped in with 12 assists.
Spring Lake had 12 blocks as a team, led by Gapczynski with seven while Brianna Kirby added four.
Bolthouse had 16 digs to lead the Laker defense, while Brooklyn Beeler had 13 and Avery Britt posted 11.
The Lakers will take on Fruitport at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Allendale in a district semifinal contest.
