Fremont sneaks by Whitehall in five-set district semifinal volleyball match

WHITEHALL – The Fremont volleyball team came out on top in a competitive matchup against host Whitehall on Wednesday.

The teams battled through five sets with the Packers coming out on top, 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 15-25 and 15-12.

Mia Clemence made 19 kills and scored three aces. Kendall Barnhart chipped in 18 digs, 16 kills and four aces, while Lily VandenBerg added 16 assists and three aces. 

Brynna Barnhart had 26 assists and a pair of blocks. Baylah Parker contributed 20 digs defensively. 

Fremont will be back at Whitehall on Thursday against Oakridge for the district championship.
