The Hart boys’ basketball team jumped out to a successful start to the 2023-24 season.
The Pirates used their up-tempo style of play to run away with a 65-28 win over Holton on Wednesday.
Turning their defense into offense, the Pirates led 37-6 at the half.
Hart was led by Blake Weirich with 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Ty Schlukebir finished with 12 points and five rebounds while Chase Gale and Emiliano Escamilla each contributed 10 points. Jesse Jacobs finished with five assists.
Keon McMillan led Holton with 16 points. Hunter Zang added eight.
Hart travels to Benzie Central for a two-day tournament on Friday and Saturday.
