MUSKEGON – After dropping three games to open the season, the Orchard View girls basketball team has now posted two wins in a row.

The Cardinals edged Byron Center Zion Christian 28-24 on Thursday evening.

Zion Christian kept it close, but the Cardinals managed to maintain a small lead all four quarters.

Amber Ready led the Cardinals with 13 rebounds, eight points and four steals. Cambrie Hardy contributed eight points, three rebounds and a steal, while Jurnee Johnson had five points, three rebounds and a steal.

Kadence Day added seven steals and three rebounds. J’La Childers had seven rebounds.

Orchard View (2-3, 0-2) will visit Fremont on Thursday, Jan. 4.
