The White Cloud girls’ basketball team played very well defensively during the first half of Friday night’s 42-23 win over Chippewa Hills.

The Indians held a 17-2 advantage at halftime before extending their lead to 26-6 heading into the final quarter of play.

The teams exchanged bucks throughout the final eight minutes of play.

Gracy Holmes had a career night for White Cloud, scoring 15 points, while Jaden Gomez added eight points and eight steals.

Brooklyn Foondle chipped in with six points and Brooke Ringler contributed by pulling down eight rebounds.

The Indians will face Lakeview on Tuesday night.
