The Mona Shores girls’ basketball team fell just short of a comeback win on Tuesday, falling to Forest Hills Northern, 45-39.

The Sailors trailed 13-11 at the end of the first quarter, 25-23 at halftime and 36-30 through three quarters of play.

Laynie Russell paced Mona Shores with 19 points while Khaleeya Cook scored 12.

The Sailors are now 2-3 overall on the season.
