MONTAGUE – The Montague wrestling team was a perfect 2-0 at home on Wednesday with victories over Oakridge and North Muskegon.

The Wildcats took down Oakridge, 60-15, and North Muskegon 54-30.

“It was a solid team effort tonight,” said Montague coach Kristoffer Maddox. “We had to make some lineup changes and adjustments to account for some injuries and sickness, so I was a little concerned coming into tonight.

“However, the adjustments worked out well and we got to see some good mat time by many of our kids.”

Zaniya Ceza, Jimmy Thommen, Chris Aebig, Fletcher Thommen, Tyler Risch and Trisha Beckman were undefeated.

Montague (4-0) will host the Mat Cat Holiday Duals on Saturday. The girls will travel to the Kent County Championships.
