GRAND RAPIDS – The Newaygo boys basketball team had a rough day with a 74-55 loss at the West Michigan Hoop Summit on Saturday.

The Lions was within striking distance of Wyoming Lee through three quarters, but gave up five 3-point baskets in the fourth quarter.

Logan Klomp led with 18 points and three blocks, while Cash Nelson added eight points and five assists. Ethan Reyburn contributed eight points and Hunter Yearsovich pulled down five rebounds.

Newaygo (5-4, 3-1) hosts Shelby on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
