NORTH MUSKEGON – Make it seven games without a blemish on their record for North Muskegon’s boys basketball team as the Norsemen defeated Shelby 76-42.

A tight start to the night had North Muskegon up 12-8 on the Tigers, but the game quickly got out of hand. The Norsemen went on a 26-6 run to end the half with a 38-14 lead.

Shelby was able to get their offense going in the second half, but were met with an equally hot offense from North Muskegon.

The Norse were led by Jaxon Lisinski (19 points, four assists), Adam Dugener (15 points, three assists) and Lamarkis Graham (10 points, nine rebounds, three assists).

Shelby’s top scorer was Phillip Hayes with 14 points while Wyatt Dickman and Lalo Garcia each chipped in 10.

North Muskegon (7-0, 4-0 WMC Rivers) will be back in action Wednesday, Jan. 3 when they host Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation Academy.

Shelby (1-6, 0-3 WMC Rivers) has now lost five straight games since the start of December. The Tigers will look to break that streak on Thursday when they host Manistee.
