The North Muskegon boys basketball team opened West Michigan Conference play with a 62-47 win over Ravenna on Friday night.

The Norse led 12-11 at the end of the opening quarter, 29-18 at halftime and 42-32 through three quarters.

James Young posted a double-double for North Muskegon with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Adam Dugener added 12 points. Lamarkis Graham chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Norse also had solid performance from Jaxon Lisinski, who scored nine points, and TJ Byard with seven points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Ravenna was led by Carter Schullo and Nash Hoffman with 15 and nine points scored, respectively.

North Muskegon is now 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play, while the Bulldogs are now 1-1 overall and 0-1 in league competition.
