Whitehall boys win a tight one over Spring Lake in non-league basketball action

SPRING LAKE – The Whitehall boys basketball team edged out Spring Lake on Tuesday evening.

The Vikings topped the Lakers, 50-44.

Camden Thompson had a big night with a double-double of 16 points, 23 rebounds, six blocks, three assists and a steal. Camar Ready scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds, while DJ Jamison and Kal Koehler added seven points apiece. 

The Lakers’ Karson George scored 12 points and Zach Schlepp threw in 11 points. Eli Morrison netted nine points and Colin Burt had eight points and five rebounds. 

Whitehall (2-0) will host Sparta on Tuesday.

Spring Lake (1-1) will travel to Grand Rapids Union on Tuesday.
