Ashley hits from long range, finishes with 36 in Western Michigan Christian’s league victory

GRAND RAPIDS – A sharpshooting Derrick Ashley put up 36 points, including six 3-pointers, to help lead the Western Michigan Christian boys’ basketball team to an 83-72 victory over Grand Rapids Wellspring Prep on Friday.

It was an Alliance League contest.

WMC’s Eli Malek poured in 21 points, while Ben Visser and Fischer Campbell each scored 10 points.

WMC (6-6, 2-0) will be at Spring Lake on Tuesday.
