The Fremont girls’ basketball squad let a double-digit halftime lead slip away on Tuesday night in a 69-66 loss to Morley-Stanwood.

The Packers trailed 13-12 at the end of the first quarter, but went on a 24-10 second quarter run to take a 36-23 advantage at halftime.

Fremont’s lead was cut to two points heading into the fourth quarter before Morley Stanwood closed out the victory after nailing three three-point baskets down the stretch.

The Packers were paced by Jessica Bennett with 17 points while Mia Clemence scored 14 and Khaila Noordyk had 13.

Fremont is now 10-3 on the season and 6-0 in league action.
