MORLEY – Josiah Long led the Newaygo boys’ basketball team to a CSAA Conference victory over Morley Stanwood on Thursday.
Long went off with a double-double of 25 points, 12 rebounds and four assists as the Lions won, 71-58.
The action was close throughout before the Lions’ offense took off in the third quarter and pulled away.
Logan Klomp scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Blake Kerr scored 13 points and pulled down six rebounds. Caris Nelson added 12 points and five assists.
Newaygo (6-4, 4-1) is set to visit Ravenna on Tuesday.
