MORLEY – The Newaygo girls basketball team dropped a CSAA Conference game to Morley Stanwood, 51-33, on Thursday.

Morley built a 32-10 lead at the half, thanks to a 12-0 scoring run in the second period. The Lions made some adjustments, but couldn’t make up much ground.

Naomi Schillman led Newaygo with 11 points and Kija Schultz chipped in eight points, six rebounds and four steals. Lillian Holmes grabbed nine rebounds and scored seven points.

Newaygo (4-4, 1-3) will host North Muskegon on Tuesday.
