MUSKEGON – The Oakridge boys basketball team came out quickly on Tuesday night and defeated Muskegon Catholic, 72-36.

The Eagles soared to a 42-17 lead after one half and didn’t let up.

Evan Miller led the Eagles with 17 points and Bryson Stephenson added 12 points. Brody Jennings had nine points.

The Crusaders’ Jacob Lyonnais scored 12 points and Owen Lyonnais chipped in eight points.

Oakridge (10-1, 4-1) will compete in a WMC-Lakes contest on Thursday at Whitehall.

Muskegon Catholic (2-9) will open Alliance League play on Friday as it hosts Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian.
