The Spring Lake girls’ basketball team regrouped in the fourth quarter to earn a 49-41 win over Unity Christian on Friday night.

The Lakers jumped out to a 15-9 lead after the first quarter and led 23-14 at halftime.

Unity Christian outscored the Lakers by 20-11 in the third quarter to force a 34-34 tie heading into the final quarter.

Spring Lake closed out the game going on a 15-7 fourth-quarter run.

The Lakers were paced by Ella Andree with 15 points, six rebounds, four steals and four assists. Tessa Britt added nine points and pulled down six rebounds for Spring Lake while both Alexa Carter and Brooke Bolthouse each scored eight points.

The Lakers are now 8-3 on the season and 4-2 in O-K Blue Conference play. They will make up an earlier scheduled game on Monday against Allendale.
