The Spring Lake girls’ basketball squad played solid from start to finish on Tuesday against Western Michigan Christian and won 62-27 in a nonleague game.

The Lakers jumped out to an 11-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, led 32-11 at halftime and had a 46-21 advantage going into the final quarter.

Ella Andree led Spring Lake with 17 points, while Brooke Bolthouse added 14 and Alexa Carter scored nine. Tessa Britt contributed with six points while pulling down 10 rebounds.

The Warriors were paced by Kasey and Ashley Folkema with nine and eight points, respectively. Hannah Heiss chipped in with six points, seven rebounds and four steals.

The Lakers are now 10-3 on the season and 5-2 in O-K Blue Conference play, while WMC falls to 6-3 overall.
